Banglalink

Banglalink

Project Overview
Banglalink, part of the VEON Group, is one of Bangladesh’s leading telecommunications operators, serving millions of mobile and broadband customers nationwide. Managing a vast and complex network infrastructure posed significant operational challenges. Network operations teams relied heavily on manual monitoring and fragmented tools to track the health of hundreds of network nodes, which caused delays in fault detection, slow incident resolution, and inconsistent service reliability across the country. To modernize operations and improve overall network performance, CliqPack designed and implemented a scalable IT Service Management (ITSM) and network fault monitoring platform tailored to Banglalink’s specific requirements.

Key Metrics

  • Centralized monitoring of over 1,500 network nodes

  • AI-driven event correlation to reduce false alarms

  • SLA-based incident management for faster fault resolution

  • Full integration with existing SolarWinds monitoring systems

  • On-premises deployment ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards

  • Scalable architecture supporting future expansion across the nationwide infrastructure

Project Scope
The project scope covered the end-to-end modernization of network operations and service management. CliqPack delivered a unified ITSM platform incorporating real-time node health monitoring, a centralized Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and SLA-driven ticketing workflows. The solution was designed for seamless integration with Banglalink’s existing SolarWinds monitoring tools and included AI-powered automation to enhance fault detection, minimize false positives, and optimize incident response. The platform architecture was modular and scalable, enabling expansion beyond the initial 1,500 network nodes as the network grew.

Project Workflow
The project began with an in-depth assessment of Banglalink’s current monitoring and service management workflows, mapping existing tools, manual processes, and pain points. Based on these findings, CliqPack designed a robust architecture that centralized network visibility while allowing integration with existing monitoring infrastructure. The workflow included:

  1. Deployment of an on-premises ITSM platform to ensure regulatory compliance and network security.

  2. Integration of a centralized CMDB to manage configuration items, relationships, and dependencies across network nodes.

  3. Implementation of real-time monitoring dashboards to track node health, performance metrics, and incidents.

  4. Development of AI-driven event correlation mechanisms to detect anomalies, minimize false alarms, and prioritize incidents based on severity.

  5. SLA-driven ticketing workflows to automate escalation, resolution tracking, and compliance reporting.

  6. Comprehensive staff training to ensure smooth adoption and proactive use of the platform for network fault management.

Project Challenges
Banglalink’s network operations were initially hampered by several challenges:

  • Fragmented monitoring tools and siloed workflows across different network regions.

  • Manual fault detection and incident reporting are causing delays in response times.

  • Difficulty maintaining service level compliance across a large, distributed infrastructure.

  • Need to integrate new platform capabilities without disrupting live network operations.

  • Strict security and regulatory requirements for data storage and operational control require on-premises deployment instead of cloud solutions.

Results
The implementation of CliqPack’s ITSM platform transformed Banglalink’s network operations. Centralized monitoring enabled visibility across all 1,500+ network nodes, while AI-driven event correlation reduced false alarms and accelerated incident resolution. SLA-based ticketing workflows ensured compliance and improved operational efficiency. The modular architecture allowed seamless scaling, making it easy to add additional network nodes and services as the infrastructure expanded. Integration with existing SolarWinds tools ensured continuity, while staff training enabled proactive fault management and faster decision-making.

Final Output
The final solution delivered a fully integrated, scalable, and secure ITSM and network fault monitoring platform that unified Banglalink’s operations under a single system. The platform provided real-time network visibility, reduced incident resolution times, improved service reliability, and enabled predictive monitoring using AI-driven insights. According to the Banglalink Network Operations Manager, “CliqPack’s ITSM platform transformed our network operations, enabling faster fault detection and resolution while scaling effortlessly across our nationwide infrastructure.”
