Job Title: Head of Software Engineering & IT Delivery
Job Context:
CliqPack Limited is a fast-growing multinational IT company driving innovation through cutting-edge digital products and enterprise software solutions. As part of our leadership expansion, we are looking for a highly experienced and visionary Head of Software Engineering & IT Delivery to lead all aspects of product development, IT delivery, and infrastructure strategy.
This role will play a pivotal part in defining our technology roadmap, delivering scalable and secure systems, and fostering innovation across AI, microservices, and cloud-native technologies. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee complex software projects, and ensure alignment between business goals and technical execution across the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of all software development projects and products across the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Define and execute the technology and product roadmap, balancing innovation, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Architect and oversee development of complex software systems including microservices architecture, AI-enabled modules, and modern web/mobile applications.
- Champion the integration and use of AI processes and tools throughout the software development lifecycle — including AI-driven code generation, automated testing, intelligent quality assurance, and predictive analytics for project delivery and risk management.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and DevOps.
- Manage cloud infrastructure strategy and implementation (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring security, scalability, cost-efficiency, and compliance.
- Lead IT security initiatives, including vulnerability management, access controls, encryption, and incident response.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team across multiple disciplines — backend, frontend, QA, DevOps, and AI/ML specialists.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, agile practices, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Collaborate with product management, sales, and customer success teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continually evolve CliqPack’s technology stack and capabilities.
- Manage vendor relationships, technology partnerships, and third-party integrations as needed.
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure successful delivery.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks such as Python (Django, Flask), PHP (Laravel), JavaScript (React, Vue, Node.js), .NET (C#, ASP.NET), or Java.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing microservices architecture and API-first development.
- Proven expertise in AI/ML module development and integration within software products.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and processes in software development, testing, deployment, and project delivery to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of IT security best practices and standards.
- Experience leading full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- Exceptional team management skills, with a track record of hiring, mentoring, and growing high-performing teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirement:
- Experience in SaaS product development and delivery.
- Knowledge of ERP, POS, or real estate software domains.
- Familiarity with modern testing frameworks, automation, and quality assurance processes.
- Exposure to global delivery models and distributed teams.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
