Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer - SQA (Mid-Level)

Job Context:

CliqPack Limited is a multinational IT company delivering innovative software solutions and digital platforms to clients across the globe. We are looking for a modern, analytical, and forward-thinking Software Tester / QA Engineer to join our growing product engineering team.

This role is pivotal in ensuring our SaaS platforms (such as CliqProperty, POS, ERP, CRM) and custom software applications meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and user experience—through effective manual and automated testing, AI-assisted QA processes, and robust test strategies

Duties & Responsibilities:

     Test Planning, Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases based on business and technical requirements.
  • Design end-to-end testing scenarios, covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and UI/UX testing.
  • Define and continuously improve QA best practices across SDLC stages.

     Automation & AI in Testing

  • Build and maintain automated test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit).
  • Integrate AI-powered testing tools such as Testim, Mabl, Applitools, LambdaTest, or AI-enhanced bug detection into QA pipelines.
  • Use AI for test case generation, prioritization, defect prediction, and code quality analysis.

     Continuous Testing & DevOps

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) by integrating automated testing scripts.
  • Perform API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, REST Assured.
  • Work with developers to support TDD/BDD and shift-left testing approaches.

      Bug Reporting & Risk Mitigation

  • Identify, document, and track bugs in issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ClickUp, Trello).
  • Conduct risk-based testing to prioritize critical test cases and optimize coverage.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and drive defect resolution with the engineering team.

     Collaboration & Quality Advocacy

  • Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and developers to ensure feature clarity and testability.
  • Champion quality throughout the software development process and serve as a gatekeeper for release readiness.
  • Provide clear QA metrics, status updates, and improvement insights to stakeholders.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in Software Testing / QA roles in a modern development environment.
  • Proven experience in automated testing, test framework design, and CI/CD integration.
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms, B2B software, or enterprise web/mobile applications.
  • Experience using AI tools for QA is a strong advantage.

Additional Requirement:

  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and STLC.
  • Hands-on with tools: Selenium, Cypress, JMeter, Postman, Git, Jenkins, Jira.
  • Exposure to AI-enhanced tools: Testim, Katalon AI, Applitools, TestCraft, Copilot for test script generation, etc.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar.
  • Understanding of databases and ability to run SQL queries for data validation.
  • Attention to detail with a passion for software quality.
  • Analytical thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proactive, independent, and able to work in agile teams.
